Day 3; Idea of the perfect first date

This post is included in the 30 days challenge

Bismillah.

Salam.

I don't exactly remember the taste of my first date. I think it's sweet.
But that time, I don't really like dates.
I just learned to like date when I was in form 4, I think. Ramadhan 2009. Yup.

I know that there's many people out there who don't like dates. So, here is an idea of how to make a date more delicious and less 'lipas-like' (ewww) to eat :)
For those who haven't tasted any dates before because you're afraid to try it, you may try this.

*I just came up with the idea yesterday, when Maimunah (my kakak) spotted a Hershey's Chocolate Syrup on our dinner table. She came up with the idea of eating ice-cream with the chocolate syrup. Then I suddenly thought of putting other topping on it, that is the date. so, voila!

Cookies and Cream flavoured Ice-Cream, dates on top, with chocolate syrup.

MARVELLOUS!
Alhamdulillah :)

There. The perfect first date.

You might also try;
Hancur-hancurkan kurma tu, baru letak atas aiskrim, instead of letak sebiji besar terus.
Putting the ice-cream inside the dates. Yummy!
Putting fresh cream inside the dates.
Making a date milk shake.
Making a date juice.

Happy trying :)

Dates are very healthy and it is Rasulullah's sunnah to eat them. So, let's love dates! *hohoh. tetibe.
+ more information on dates.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

hoho. date in another form;

any first date right after the nikah would be perfect ;)
because it's in Allah's blessings, insya-Allah.

that's all for now.
Salam.

Day 2; My Favourite Movie

This post is included in the 30 days challenge

A novel-based film, based on true story;

Yup, Laskar Pelangi :) [about]

The videography is cool, the storyline is great, the morals in the story is superb.
I consider this my all-time favourite.

For those who haven't watched it yet, watch it!
This movie really inspires students to study more, and appreciate the facilities we have to study.
In the movie, the kids don't have enough facilities to study but they still wanted to study. and one of the characters is a genius but he didn't get the chance to continue his study because he has to take care of his family (spoiler). sad sad movie. Sad yet inspiring.

My other favourites;

  • 3 Idiots
  • Barbie and the Diamond Castle (teaches the value of friendship)
  • Despicable Me
  • The Pursuit of Happyness
  • Muhammad; The Last Prophet
  • Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh [youtube link]
  • Grave of The Fireflies
  • Harry Potter
  • ada lagi tapi tak ingat.

That's all I guess :)

salam.

Day 1; My Favourite Song

This post is included in the 30 days challenge

Ah, I have sooooooo many favourite songs, and it's hard to choose just one.

*open winamp*
*rambang mata*
*melencong, terbuka facebook. chatting*
*30 minutes later*

Okaylah, I choose this song.
Ponder the lyrics first :) *panjang la tapi. layankan aje.

I sometimes lie awake at night
And wonder at the stars so bright
I dream about my future too
And the things that I will do

Soon the world will count on me
I’m the future they agree
People depend on me somehow
Though small and timid, I am now

So you and I my dearest friend
Must stand together till the end
For we are one by Allah’s grace
No matter what our colour or race

We must prepare ourselves today
While we journey on our life’s way
So much there is to learn and see
For true believers we must be

Yeah, yeah. Come on.
Go forward young Muslims, wherever you are
In the shadow of the sun or by the light of a star
Your Supreme protector is Almighty Allah
Go forward young Muslims wherever you are
Go forward young Muslims we feel your pain.
So many places, Palestine,
People are dying, mothers are crying
Bombs are falling from the sky, people asking why.
The only thing that we can do is pray to God, to help them through
But do they realize that Allah hates those who kill and despise.
I think that’s no surprise. We must rise up.
Come on young Muslims, gotta rise up.
Come on young Muslims.
Together we must stand in the Masjid to pray,
Pray for a better day, a better way
To make this world a better place.
Cause lets face it, it’s out of control.
We need to grab hold of each other
unite as one Ummah.

Like back in the days of the
Companions of the Prophet
Some were young, they were strong and they loved each other
Brothers and sisters and they could die for one another.
Yeah. Yeah.
So stand up young Muslims.
Say it out loud, it’s time to be counted.
Right here, right now.
Yeah, right here. Come on, right now.

O Allah we love you so
Give us health and make us grow
Be with us each passing day
While we journey on life’s way

A Child's Prayer
Original Song by Zain Bikha
Remix by Rashid Bikha & Naadira Ali

here's the song :) play le

Ever heard of a phrase; The youth today are the world tomorrow?
This song is tells us (the youth especially) to prepare ourselves since we are the future leaders.
So, wake up young muslims! Rise up!
dushhh! *terkena tamparan.

What can we do?
of course, gain as many knowledge as we can.
be more hardworking
help the needy through infaq (bersedekah).
make others realize as well a.k.a da'wah.
not easy though.
but we can try.
Allah looks at our efforts :)

meh le try. no effort is worthless.

that's all for now. Thanks for reading :D

Pre-TESL sem 1; ended

Bismillah.

sekadar hiasan. credits: OwhSoMuslim

Alhamdulillah, the final exam for pre-TESL students has ended. Now, we can just pray and tawakkal for a good result. Then, we can focus on MUET! My speaking test will be on the 12th October and our writing test will be on 19th November. Good luck to all TESLians :) may we get > band 4.

I'm still at Lendu. Most of my friends have gone home already. Level 1 of Tun Hassan is almost empty. Some of my classmates and course-mates are still here though. I'll be back this evening, insya-Allah. oh, I miss JB. But am feeling kind of sad to leave lendu. ceh, padahal sem depan still kat sini.

Alhamdulillah, throughout this semester 1, I have gone through lots and lots of experiences and met many new people. Alhamdulillah I can get along with most of the people I've just met :)
I am very grateful that Allah has placed me in UiTM. I think I've become stronger, and I really am starting to appreciate everything I have, especially friends and tarbiyyah. I think I'm becoming a lot better too compared to my school days. zaman buat nakal overdose is over, I guess. It's time to grow up and be more mature. I am almost 18.

this is obviously not me. *duh* credits: kawanimut

I have never wrote about Kak Kinabell right? Her real name is Sakinah Nabilah but I saved her name in my contact list as Kak Kinabell. That's her nickname during high school. So, what about her?
She is one of my special friends here. She was once a student of SMI Hira' , one of the schools under MUSLEH like my former school, SMI Hidayah JB. As soon as I met her, we got along very well, alhamdulillah.
I don't know, but, there seems to be an invisible bond among MUSLEH's students. Most of my friends here thought that I've known her long ago, but I actually just met her here in Lendu. I believe this is the power of tarbiyyah. It ties the hearts of people in the same path together. aiceh. She understands me well. Thanks to my batch-mate, Shafiah Raji for introducing me to her.
I don't know if I will met Kak Kinabell again on the next semester. Allah knows best. Let Him decide.
Apa-apapun, I thank Allah so much for uniting us here. Alhamdulillah :)

ameen.

My classmates are now sedih-sedih since there's a probability that we won't be in the same class on the next semester. Gaaah, I myself too can't imagine having new classmates, and not having them as classmates. It feels weird. But then, still, tawakkal jela. Allah knows best. Harap-harap kelas 1B semua masuk 2B. amin. hoho boleh tak?

Dear 1B, I hope, we will still remain friends no matter what happen.

--------------------------

That's all I guess.  I still got a lot of packing to do. I am coming hooooommee~~~!!!
salam.

P/S: Alhamdulillah 'ala kulli hal :)
P/P/S: aku rasa aku banyak babble dalam post ni. err.

Final Exam is just around the corner

Bismillah.
Salam :)

The final exam will start on 19th of September and end on 25th of September 2011.
It's just around the corner! We were having a lot of tests and have got our test marks recently. My achievement was, alhamdulillah, quite okay but,, I am not so sure if I can achieve my target. Takpelah, for now, let's just put on more effort in study.

I want to share this 'doa penerang hati'. This doa is usually read before we start our study, in hope that Allah would ease us to accept and receive more knowledge, insya-Allah.

Bismillahirrahmaanirrahim..
"Wahai Tuhan kami! Lapangkanlah bagiku dadaku dan mudahkanlah urusanku dan bukalah simpulan lidahku supaya mereka faham ucapanku."

and also, this ayat 1000 dinar.

[At-Talaq: 2-3]

some of the advantages of reading this aayat is that it can make our hearts feel calmer when we sense something is not right. but don't just read this aayat blindly, comprehend the meaning too. This aayat actually encourages us to put our trust in Allah because He knows what's best for His creations.

alright, I think that's all I am going to share for now.
wish me and my friends a very good luck!

dear friends,
whether you are at UiTM, UIA, UTM, UNITEN, matriculations, INTEC, overseas, etc etc etc.
let's just do our very best in everything and may Allah bless our effort :D
please, do remind me whenever you see me lazying around. thanks.

wassalam.

Syawal menjelma

Bismillah.

Ramadhan dah habis, syawal pula tiba.

walaupun lambat sikit,
tetap nak ucapkan,

Khairuddin's Family,
minus Hasanah and the family in laws and nephews and niece

Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri
Maaf Zahir dan Batin
kullu 'am wa antum bikhair :)

*tak terlambat lagi kot nak ucap. orang kata, orang Johor raya sebulan ;p

Terima kasih Allah.
