My Pre-Wedding

Salam.

I have been wanting to share this! Although 9 months have passed already, but I still want to write here, for the sake of memory. I mean, it's a big milestone. And before another big milestone comes (being a mommy), I should write about this first.

The Preparation

I learned a lot from the preparation of my sister, Piah's wedding, so I kinda knew what to prepare. In February 2017, I started designing the wedding invitation card and buying hantaran. I did those first because I thought I don't wanna be too busy later since the semester will start at February till early June. Looking back, I'm glad I made that decision because that semester was the worst semester I had been through. Was too complicated as I was studying, juggling with personal problem and also doing more preparation.

Alhamdulillah, by May 2017, everything had been decided. The venue, bridal, catering, photography, a part of doorgift had been settled. So the only things left to do after raya were buying doorgift, decoration for hantaran, dress fitting and distributing invitation card. I had started distributing the invitation card since Ramadhan because the wedding is on the final week of Syawal. Alhamdulillah, Allah had ease everything for us.

Several weeks before the wedding date, my girls (teslian) asked for a meet up. We met on the 14th of July and they brought ballooons! Wuuu, so touched. Thank you girlsss, for making your time (and money) for this.

 Although the meeting was quiet brief, I had a great time with them. Intan, who couldn't be there kirim salam lol. Then, after saying goodbye to them, I had to buy some food for home. Walked to KFC with those balloons. Very mencapub ya know. Haha. But nonetheless, the cashier girl congratulated me.

Another one was held by my group of best friends since secondary school (a.k.a the bridesmaids). It was on the day before my wedding day. They came to help out (or that's what I thought at first) and at first, since many had been settled, they hadn't got anything to do. Lul. But then, as evening came, suddenly there were things to do so they got to do something. 

Suddenly, Miza brought out a box of doughnuts, brownies and a flower bouquet!

This time, Liyana had just gone back home and Mina couldn't come because of an urgent family matter.

 Alhamdulillah :) very thankful to them. Look at my tired face. Haha. Tried to have good sleep several days before the wedding but failed miserably. Couldn't get rid of the eyebag, but thank God for makeup!

The Last Minute Preparation
During the final week of my single life, alhamdulillah, my relatives came a lot to help. and as the date got closer, my siblings from afar came too.

Inai Session. I applied this twice: two days before and a day before.
Hasanah and Piah helped me applied it.

One thing I like about our family wedding is the family gathering. Everyone is busy helping a lot as there were lots of things to do. Oh, I remembered that that morning, we had a family meeting to finalize the flow of the wedding. Everyone in my siblings had to be in charge of something. They're the committee members. Hehe. I was the director, and appointed my younger sister, Solehah as the floor manager because she's reliable (and also single).

Abah and Mama would be busy on the wedding day as they would be the key persons to entertain the guests (tuan rumah kan). So, my brothers (Suhaib & Ahmad) were in charge of food, my sister Munah on the venue, Hasanah on the cake (because she baked it!), Safiah and husband on the pelamin and the money from guests, Hayat and Nuha on doorgift and Hanaa on kids. Haha. My brother in law, Mahizal was the MC, Suhail was on the technical part and my brother Ahmad recited the doa and selawat with my brothers in law.

That night, my sisters and I slept in the pengantin room and only the next morning we changed the bedsheet. Haha. Massive thanks to Piah for changing and ironing it!

2016: Obvious Blessings

Salam.

Since the previous post I've written before was about blessings in disguise, I'd like to start 2017 with an appreciation post for 2016.

So what happened in 2016?

A lot did, actually. I need to look at my albums to recall them. lol.
but let me just list some, briefly.

1) Programmes and Trainings
- PERNAIS, TAKSIS, HARMONI
- ISUTM Diner, AGM
- Bengkel Murabbi

 2) UTM-SIT Buddies for February 2016

3) Successfully finished my degree
- Completed FYP with sweat, tears and money and drools
- Graduated with first class (alhamdulilllaaaah)

4) Joined marathons
5) Penang Trip!
6) Started master's
7) Became more humane
8) Part time jobs - Tuition teacher, private tutor, proofreader, translator
9) I still have and love my family
10) I still have and love my circlessss of friends

Alhamdulillah for everything.


What's going to happen in 2017?

1) Safiah is getting married! I'm getting another brother-in-law. Oh, today is his birthday, by the way.
2) Still doing masters with part time jobs
3) Kelantan Trip, insyaAllah.
4) change in status, perhaps?
5) and only Allah knows the rest :)

Look, these are all obvious blessings. I should ponder these blessing more and get myself more motivated to keep living my life fully. Allah has (and still) grant me lots. Alhamdulillah for everything.

don't worry too much.

Allah has destined the best life for you.

Just do your best as long as you can,

and leave the rest to Allah.

For 2017,
let's be more humane.

Journey in TESL V : Semester 2

Salam.

Although semester 2 of my 1st year has ended a month ago, I still want to write about it!

Nothing much happened, though.
Basically, the things I have gone through in this semester were the same things I had gone through on the 1st semester. Same class, same college, same co-q activity. The only things that are different are the subjects I took. Oh yeah, in this semester too, I joined the committee of Kelab Iqra' UTM. heee.

The subjects I took this semester are, still 8. They are Telecommunication and Networking, Educational Psychology, Structures of English, Literacy Appreciation, Effective Writing Skills, Dinamika Malaysia, English for Academic Communication and Japanese Language II. For co-curriculum activity, I took First Aid II. 2 semesters to go to finish the co-q! why so long...

Let's move on to what I've been through... I might miss some because I can't remember everything.

23/3/2013: HAKI (Hari Kelab Iqra')
The first kelab Iqra's event I joined. Alhamdulillah it was fun because I can get to know other students, especially Iqra's seniors. We played futsal and a few sukaneka activities.

28/3/2013: Teachers in Training from Tsukuba University
A few students from the Faculty of Education came to UTM for their teaching training. One of the students came teaching Japanese Language during our Japanese class.

20/4/2013: Programme for PRS of SMK Taman Desa Skudai
Most of my classmates and I organized a programme for PRS of the school. It's actually under the name of our faculty's club, Persatuan Mahasiswa Pendidikan, but all the committee members are our classmates.

The activities we prepared for them were moral, teamwork and leadership-based. We had fun getting to know the teachers (they are young and very friendly) and the PRSs too. Alhamdulillah all of them are PRS, so, they behaved well.

until June 2013: Tests, Drama performance, Final exam
For this semester's drama performance in Literacy Appreciation class, students in our class are divided into 3 groups. We performed Hamlet's play. My group did a parody of it.
Study went, just as usual.. huhuh. But I think I got lazier than last semester. but Alhamdulillah my friends and roommate are quite diligent, they motivated me to study. Thanks Epaa, Intan and Teno, my groupmates in almost every group assignment! and thanks Qila for visiting my room often, encouraging me to study together with you. hohoh. thanks to all classmates too. k tibe je credits.
Final exam went as usual too.

During semester 2, I'm trying to get myself balanced between my worldly needs and hereafter's needs. I really hope I can fulfill both, and succeed in both the world and the hereafter.

can't wait for the adventures in the next semester :)

My Semester Break

Hi and assalamualaikum~

I've been planning to write about this weeks ago, since my semester break was 2 months ago.. but I only write it today. Although it's been 2 months (or almost), I'm still excited to share what I've gone through.

P/s: funny that after I wrote the previous post, I haven't updated this blog for a really long time. However, that was unintended, okay.

24-26/01/2013 : Holiday with Family, Port Dickson & KL
Stayed at PNB Resort for 3 days and 2 nights. Had BBQ, got to play in the swimming pool with fellow siblings and nieces and nephew and had our sweet moments together.

30/1/2013 : Visit Maimunah's house

Maimunah (my sister) and her family just moved in to Johor Bahru this year. They are now living in Kempas. Quite close to our house actually. Anyway, we visited her house because we missed Kauthar (Munah's daughter).

Another highlight of my semester break is,,

my friend's marriage! She's the 'Kak Long' of both our class (5 Iftikhar 2010) and batch (Generasi12).

9/2/2013 : Izatur Farhana's Wedding

The wedding we've been anticipating for. As what we've expected since form 4, she is the first to get married. Congratulations, Kak Long :)

A lot of Generasi12 came and I guess that's our biggest reunion so far. Even Syakirah from Kedah came, Zubaidah and Asma' Wan from Selangor came. Bee from Singapore came. Alhamdulillah :)

Journey in TESL IV : Sight-seeing around UTM

Bismillah..

Salam and hi :)

Alhamdulillah, just now, my friends and I just had a great sight-seeing around UTM. We enjoyed our journey very much. I walked with Epaa, Teno, Intan, Aqilah, Yana, Ain and Syahirah. Here are the pictures from the beginning (somewhat) till the end of our journey.

What an experience. Ok, actually, we started our journey from Kolej Tun Razak (KTR) to Kolej Perdana (KP). Let me show you the image of our route.

Our route is the pink one. The blue one is the other route, but it's too berbukit-bukau.

 Yes, it was rather far. What a long journey we had. and the best part is, we walked! It was a good work out since we rarely go jogging. keh keh.

Why do we walk that far?
actually, we just sat for an exam at KTR. We went there by bus at 2.00pm. but when we wanted to go back to KP, there was no bus. We tried calling for delivery services, but everyone is busy. So, we decided to walk. It was around 4.15pm and the sun is shining, but alhamdulillah UTM has a lot of trees, so it was not that hot. Oh, our whole journey took place on around 45++ minutes (including buying cool blog at cengal and visiting the horses).

This is a new experience. hihi. Alhamdulillah for everything :D

Aaanyways, the paper we sat for just now is Introduction to Teaching.
including the that, we are done with 3 subjects! *yeay*
3 down, 4 more to go.
